The waiting room at the clinic

Dr. Yehonatan Kaplan's clinic · Dermatology and Mohs surgery

Your visit with us, step by step

So you know what to expect before you arrive.

Before the visit

1. How do I book, and what does it cost?

You can book and pay in advance through our online system, at any time that suits you.

Private consultation, booked and paid in advance
950 NIS
Private consultation, paid on arrival at the clinic
1,200 NIS
For payment at the clinic, please bring a physical credit card. Digital wallets such as Apple Pay cannot be used.

During the visit

2. Who sees me at the clinic?

The visit begins with a doctor's assistant, who takes your medical history and prepares everything needed for the examination. Keeping to schedule matters to us, and so does giving every patient the time they need. If the wait runs a little long, thank you for your patience.

Dr. Yehonatan Kaplan alone performs the examination and gives the diagnosis and the recommendations.

3. What is examined during the visit?

The examination focuses on what brought you to us. If there is another lesion or another question, please tell us at the start of the visit.

4. Can treatment be done at the same visit?

We do our best to provide the treatment during the same appointment, subject to availability. Procedures that require an operating room are scheduled for a separate date. Most procedures are done under local anesthesia. If anything feels uncomfortable, tell us and we will stop.

Medical procedure
from 900 NIS per area
Biopsy with stitches
1,200 NIS
More complex procedures
as advised at the consultation
Treatments are charged separately from the consultation. We will tell you the price in advance.

After the visit

5. If a private biopsy was taken, when will the lab result arrive?

The sample is sent to a private pathology laboratory. The cost of the test is paid separately.

Processing time depends on the laboratory, so we cannot give an exact date. Some tests take longer: those that need special stains (immunohistochemistry), a biopsy of a rash, and especially a scalp biopsy for hair loss. When the result arrives, we will contact you as soon as possible. If more than six weeks have passed and you have not heard from us, contact us and we will check.

6. What if something changes after the visit?

The recommendations you received refer to what was examined at the appointment. Skin can change over time.

Follow-up visit on the same matter, within a month
600 NIS
To assess a change, we need to see it at the clinic. A photo or a description over the phone is not enough for a reliable assessment, so we will be glad to see you again.

7. Am I entitled to reimbursement from my insurance?

Reimbursement for a private medical consultation depends on the terms of your policy, which usually does not cover aesthetic treatments. We cannot guarantee that reimbursement will be granted.

Please note: reimbursement is not available from the health funds (kupot holim) or from their supplementary insurance plans. Maccabi members must book a medical consultation only through Maccabi's appointment system.
